
Green tomatoes with garlic for winter
Preparing green tomatoes with garlic for winter in slices is no more difficult than pickling them whole, and they taste just as good. Moreover, this option will be helpful if you need to preserve unripe tomatoes with minor damage that needs to be cut out. As a result, you get a very tasty ready-made snack – sweetly-spicy slices of tomatoes.

Ingredients
- green tomatoes - 2 kg;
- garlic - 9 garlic cloves (3 cloves in each jar);
- bay leaf - 3 pcs. (1 pc. in each jar);
- black pepper - 6 pcs. (2 pcs. in each jar);
- allspice - 6 pcs. (2 pcs. in each jar).
For the marinade:
- water - 1.5 liters;
- 9% vinegar - 15 tsp;
- salt - 7.5 tsp;
- sugar - 11.5 tbsp.
Preparation
1. Prepare the necessary products for making green tomatoes with garlic for winter. Remove the skin from the garlic. Pre-sterilize the jars and lids.

2. Prepare the ingredients for the marinade.

3. Cut the green tomatoes into slices, removing the stems first.

4. Place 1 bay leaf, 2 allspice and black peppercorns, and 3 garlic cloves in each jar.

5. Tightly pack the green tomatoes into the jars.

6. Prepare the marinade. Put a pot with water on the fire. When the water has warmed up, add 7.5 teaspoons of salt and 11.5 tablespoons of sugar. Mix well.

7. As soon as the water starts boiling, pour in 15 teaspoons of 9% vinegar and mix again. Boil for 2 minutes and remove from heat.

8. Fill the jars with green tomatoes with marinade to the brim of the neck. Cover them with sterilized lids.

9. Place a cloth at the bottom of a deep pot, and place the jars with tomatoes on it. Pour warm water into the pot up to the shoulders of the jars and place on the fire.

10. After the water boils, sterilize for 5 minutes. Remove the jars from the pot.

11. Roll up our preparations and turn them upside down until completely cool.

12. Green tomatoes with garlic for winter are ready. Send the preparations for storage.
