Salad 'Grouse Nest' with Chicken
Instructions
Prepare all the necessary ingredients for making the salad "Grouse Nest" with chicken. Pre-cook the chicken fillet until done, adding salt and pepper. Boil the eggs hard.
Peel the potatoes. Cut them into very thin strips or grate them on a Korean carrot grater.
Soak the potatoes in cold water for 5 minutes. Then drain the water and place the potatoes on paper towels to remove as much moisture as possible. This will make the potatoes crispier.
In a frying pan or a small saucepan, heat the vegetable oil well, add the potatoes in small portions, and fry until golden brown, salting to taste.
Finely chop the previously boiled chicken fillet.
Cut the cucumber into small cubes.
Separate the boiled eggs into whites and yolks. Cut the whites into small cubes.
Finely chop the onion. If desired, it can be marinated in a vinegar solution.
Mix the chopped eggs, cucumber, chicken fillet, about a third of the fried potatoes, and onion. Add mayonnaise and mix well.
Mash the yolks with a fork, add finely chopped dill, a little mayonnaise and mix to make a thick paste. Form small balls from it.
Place the salad on a flat plate, shape it into a rounded form, and create a small indentation in the middle; this will be the nest.
Top with the fried potatoes.
In the "nest", place a few sprigs of dill or parsley, and also arrange improvised eggs.
Salad "Grouse Nest" with chicken is ready. This salad will decorate any festive table and your guests will be delighted. Enjoy your meal!
