
Uzbek-style Shavlya

Ingredients
- chicken - 350 g;
- carrot - 200 g (2 pcs.);
- round-grain rice - 1 cup;
- onion - 200 g (2 pcs.);
- vegetable oil - 50 ml;
- pilaf seasoning;
- tomatoes - 2 pcs;
- paprika;
- salt;
- water - 2.5 cups;
- greens - for serving.
A 200 ml cup is required.
Preparation
1. Prepare the products for Uzbek-style shavlya according to the list.

2. To cook the rice faster, it can be soaked in a bowl with cool water.

3. Remove the meat from the bone and cut it into pieces. First, add the prepared pieces of meat to the cauldron with hot oil. Fry, stirring, until the pieces are browned on all sides.

4. Peel the onions and cut them into thin half-rings. Peel the carrots and cut them into long strips.

5. Add the chopped onion half-rings to the cauldron and fry until they become transparent.

6. Now add the carrot strips and all the spices to the cauldron.

7. Crush the tomatoes through a sieve. Add the resulting tomato mass to the vegetables and mix.

8. Rinse the rice and add it to the cauldron.

9. Stirring, keep on heat until the rice becomes transparent.

10. Carefully pour water into the cauldron. Then bring to a boil, reduce the heat to a minimum. Cover the cauldron with a lid and cook the shavlya for 20-30 minutes, until the rice absorbs all the liquid.

11. Uzbek-style shavlya is ready.

Serve on a plate and bring to the table.
