🧮 How to Calculate a Dish's Calories & Macros (Example)
Enter a product name and its weight. The system will suggest matches from the database. As soon as you enter the data, everything is calculated automatically.

Example (making plov):

  1. Type Pork and set the weight (e.g., 600 g).
  2. Click "Add new product" and enter Rice (500 g) and Carrots (500 g).
  3. Result: In the "Total" row, you'll see the calories and macros for the whole pot of plov (1600 g). In the "Total per 100 g" row, you'll see the nutrition values for a small portion.

What the indicators mean:

  • Calories (kcal), Protein (g), Fat (g), Carbs (g) - nutrition values (per 100 g / per serving / total, depending on the row).
  • Protein / Fat / Carbs - macronutrients, shown in grams (g).
  • kcal - energy value in kilocalories.

🔬 Science-Based Approach: The Atwater System
Our analyzer is based on the Atwater system ("4-4-9"). Over 100 years ago, scientists established that 1 g of protein and carbohydrates provides 4 kcal, and 1 g of fat provides 9 kcal. In the past, foods were literally burned in calorimeters to measure heat. Today, you just click one button on our website to get an accurate result based on these fundamental data.
