Try making strawberry jelly candies at home, it's easy and quick. You can use any fresh or frozen berries, baby puree in jars, and thick juices instead of strawberries.

Ingredients

  • 100 g of sugar;
  • 250 g of fresh or frozen strawberries;
  • 150 ml of water;
  • 8 g of agar-agar.

Preparation

  1. First, thaw the strawberries.

  2. If using fresh ones, wash them, remove the stems, and cut large ones in half. Pour agar-agar into the bottom of a pot and cover with cold water, let it swell a bit.

  3. Transfer the strawberries to a blender and blend them into a smooth puree.

  4. Add sugar and mix.

  5. Place the pot with agar on low heat, bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Then cook for a couple more minutes. The agar should achieve the consistency of liquid glue.

  6. Add the strawberry puree and stir thoroughly.

  7. Bring it back to a boil. Then cook for another 1-2 minutes.

  8. Pour the mixture into shaped molds (for example, silicone ice molds can be used). After cooling, remove the candies from the molds.

  9. If the mixture doesn't fit in the molds at once, you can warm the pot and pour the syrup into the freed molds again. If you don’t have shaped molds, you can pour the entire volume into a regular baking dish or on a baking sheet, and after it sets, cut it with a knife. The finished strawberry jelly candies can be stored at room temperature or in the refrigerator.
