The category of baking includes a huge list of products that are prepared by baking. This includes a variety of bakery and confectionery products: all types of bread, rolls, cookies, pancakes, pies and cakes. For various pastries, different types of dough are used: biscuit, puff, custard, yeast.

Do not use cold products to prepare the dough. It is advisable to remove them from the refrigerator in advance to warm them up a little, for example, in the microwave.

But it should be understood that it is not always easy to prepare a treat with an exquisite taste. Many recipes require an effort. Usually they involve a lot of different ingredients and the cooking process is somewhat more complicated. In our selection, we try to place the most interesting and affordable baking recipes with photos for all occasions – for a celebration, a family dinner, for tea and just as a treat. Easy recipes for quick baking will help out the hostess in situations when there is no time to think about a treat.

As a rule, baking products are quite high in calories. On the website recepty.mobi there is a calorie analyzer, as well as all baking recipes have such indicators. If it is important for you to reduce calories, reduce the amount of fat and replace sugar with honey, black molasses or brown cane sugar.

Darginskii khinkal

Darginsky Khinkal

Write a comment
Dargin khinkal is a unique and highly distinctive dish of Dagestani cuisine, quite different from other Caucasian khinkals: it's a fluffy yeasted roll layered with crushed walnuts, garlic and fresh herbs, steamed and served alongside a rich meat broth and boiled meat. The roll comes out soft, fragrant and slightly sweet, while the walnut filling gives it an unmistakable Caucasian flavor. Knead a soft yeast dough with warm milk and an egg and let it rise for 1-1.5 hours until doubled. Roll into a sheet, scatter with crushed walnuts, garlic and herbs, roll up like a log, cut into portions and steam for 20-25 minutes. Serve with hot broth and boiled beef. Proportions for 6 servings inside.

Flamekesh

Flammekueche

Write a comment
Flammekueche (also called tarte flambée) is the famous national dish of French Alsace and the neighboring regions of Germany — a thin crispy flatbread of unleavened dough with a signature creamy base and a characteristic topping of bacon and finely sliced onion. In shape flammekueche is very similar to the pizza we're used to, but it has fundamental differences: the dough is yeast-free, the "sauce" is thick crème fraîche with fromage blanc, and the traditional topping consists of just three ingredients. Roll out a dough of flour, water, olive oil and a pinch of salt very thin directly on parchment. Spread with the crème fraîche and cream cheese mix, top with sautéed bacon and onion rings. Bake at 250°C (480°F or as hot as your oven goes) for 8-12 minutes. Proportions for 1 flammekueche inside.

Khushuur (khushur)

Khushuur (khushur)

Write a comment
Khuushuur are Mongolia's beloved fried meat hand pies — golden, crispy and stuffed with juicy minced beef or lamb. They look a lot like Russian chebureki but are made with even thinner, crispier dough and are the centerpiece of Mongolia's Naadam summer festival. The dough couldn't be simpler: just flour, water and salt, with no egg or fat, which makes it stretchy enough to roll out almost paper-thin. The filling is finely chopped beef or lamb with plenty of onion, garlic and a splash of water for juiciness. The pies are folded into half-moons and deep-fried until deeply golden. Proportions for 12 khuushuur and tips for sealing them properly inside.

Semolina patties like in kindergarten

Semolina Cutlets like in Kindergarten

Write a comment
Russian semolina patties "like in kindergarten" are tender, soft and remarkably tasty patties made from thick semolina porridge that many of us remember from kindergarten days and school cafeterias. The main appeal of the classic Soviet GOST recipe is its simplicity, accessible ingredients and consistently reliable result, which is so closely tied to memories of cozy, carefree childhood. The patties come out with a lightly golden crust on the outside and a cloud-soft middle inside, especially good with the classic sweet milk or berry sauce. Cook a thick semolina porridge in milk with sugar and a pinch of salt, cool to warm, add an egg and vanilla and mix thoroughly. With damp hands shape round patties, coat in breadcrumbs and fry in butter or oil for 2-3 minutes per side. Serve with sweet sauce or jam. Proportions for 12 patties inside.

Chebureki with custard dough

Chebureks with Cream Pastry

Write a comment

Homemade chebureks made with a hot water dough will turn out well even for beginner cooks. The thing is, the flour is poured with boiling water, resulting in a very elastic dough that can be easily rolled out to the thickness of parchment and will never tear. This means that the filling won't leak out and will remain juicy.

Wonder with pumpkin

Chudu with Pumpkin

Write a comment
Dagestani pumpkin chudu is a famous national dish of Dagestani cuisine — thin unleavened flatbreads with a juicy filling of sweet pumpkin and sautéed onion, cooked on a dry pan until they develop golden spots. This remarkable combination of paper-thin dough, fragrant vegetable filling and oil-free cooking technique makes chudu one of the most interesting yet straightforward dishes of Caucasian cuisine. Make a dough from water with a pinch of salt and a little oil — it should be elastic but soft. Coarsely grate the pumpkin and mix with sautéed onion, salt and black pepper. Roll the dough out very thin, place the filling on half the round, fold over and seal the edges. Cook on a dry pan for 2-3 minutes per side. Proportions for 6 chudu inside.
