- tomato – 2 pcs;
- onion – 70 g;
- carrot – 100 g;
- bell pepper – 1 pc;
- spicy pepper – 0.5 pod;
- turmeric – 1 tsp;
- bay leaf – 2 pcs;
- black ground pepper, Italian herbs – to taste;
- odorless vegetable oil – 30 ml for the drumsticks and 30 ml for the gravy;
- salt – to taste.
Preparation
1. Prepare the ingredients for cooking chicken drumsticks with gravy in a pan. The amount of spicy pepper can be adjusted to your taste.

2. Wash the chicken drumsticks and dry them with a paper towel.

3. To ensure the drumsticks are well fried and not raw, they need to be flattened. First, cut the meat along the bone with a sharp knife, then cut the tendons so that the meat slides down easily.

4. Season the prepared drumsticks with pepper, salt, and rub them with turmeric on both sides. Set them aside for now.

5. Take care of the vegetable gravy. For this, grate the carrot coarsely.

6. Chop the onion into medium cubes.

7. Remove the seeds from the bell pepper and chop it similarly to the onion. Finely chop the spicy pepper, removing the seeds.

8. Dice the tomatoes with a knife.

9. In heated oil, fry the onion until it begins to turn golden.

10. Add the carrot and both types of pepper.

11. After 2 minutes of frying, add the tomatoes to the pan. Stew everything for another 2 minutes.

12. In the meantime, prepare the thickening agent by mixing flour with a small amount of water first, and once all the lumps are broken, add the remaining water.

13. Pour the flour thickener into the gravy, season with salt, and stir. Stew the mixture for a couple of minutes over low heat.

14. The gravy should be of moderate thickness. If it is too thick, add a little more water.

15. In another pan, heat oil and add the drumsticks.

16. Fry them on both sides until browned for about 5-7 minutes.

17. Then pour the prepared gravy over the drumsticks.

18. Add bay leaves and press the garlic through a press.

19. Cover the pan with a lid and stew the drumsticks under the vegetable gravy for 20 minutes.

A hearty and very tasty dish, chicken drumsticks in a pan with gravy, can be served with any side dish. The vegetable gravy best moistens and enriches porridge, country-style potatoes or pasta. And the delicate meat just melts in your mouth, despite being part of the muscular leg.
