How to dye eggs with brilliant green
Achieving one of the most attractive colors for Easter eggs using natural dyes can be done by learning how to dye eggs with brilliant green. This method is not so simple to execute, but the result is excellent – the shell looks like marble chips, just like the eggs dyed with hibiscus tea. At the same time, the dye holds firmly, does not stain hands, and is completely safe.
Preparation time: 30 minutes.
Ingredients
- eggs - 3 pcs;
- brilliant green - 30-40 ml;
- onion skins - 2 handfuls;
- nylon stocking - 1 pc;
- water - 1 l.
It is best to use a stainless steel pot for boiling eggs – it will wash off the brilliant green well afterward. Alternatively, you can use an old, unnecessary dish.
Preparation
1. Prepare the ingredients. The eggs must be white – this way, the color will turn out the most beautiful and not too dark. Instead of a nylon stocking, you can take 3 squares of cheesecloth so that you can place an egg in each one like in a bag. The amount of water depends on the size of the container in which the eggs will be boiled. In any case, the liquid should reach the top of the eggs.

2. First, wash the eggs with a sponge and baking soda to remove stamps and any possible dirt.

3. Cut the onion skins into small pieces using scissors.

4. Wet the egg with water and roll it in the onion skin pieces (this will help it stick better).

5. Cut the nylon stocking into 3 parts, tie each piece on one side with thread (this will create a sort of bag), and sprinkle some chopped onion skins inside. Place the egg inside, tightly pull the edges, and tie it.

6. Place the bags in a pot and pour water up to the top of the eggs. Put the prepared items on the stove.

7. Boil the eggs for 10 minutes.

8. Then do not turn off the heat, and pour the entire bottle of brilliant green into the pot.

9. After 5 minutes, turn off the stove. Remove the bags with the eggs using a spoon and transfer them to cold water.

10. When the eggs cool down, remove the packaging and peel off the skins. The areas where the onion was will have turned orange, while all the free space will be dyed a diamond green color.

11. For a beautiful glossy shine, wipe the shell with a cotton pad soaked in any vegetable oil.

Having learned all the nuances of how to dye eggs with brilliant green, you can create new color variations each time. To do this, you should decrease or increase the amount of onion skins, which will ultimately change the marble pattern of the Easter eggs.
