Ingredients
- frozen mackerel - 2 pcs;
- onion - 140 g;
- small lemon - 1 pc;
- any fatness butter - 50 g;
- pepper, salt.

Preparation
1. To make it easier to handle the mackerel, it’s better to thaw it only partially to a slight firmness. This way, the fish will be easier to clean and cut. After cutting off the tip of the tail and the head near the fins, remove the insides through a longitudinal incision on the belly. Next, scrape the black film and the same color dense mass along the spine with a knife - this is the kidneys. If they are not removed, the fish will taste bitter.

2. Make 3 slanted cross cuts so that the backbone is broken, but do not go deeper.

3. Pepper and salt the carcass inside and out.

4. Insert lemon slices into the cuts.

5. Prepare thin strips of onion.

6. Line a suitable size dish with foil for convenience, leaving hanging edges to close the top. Grease the bottom with butter.

7. Place the onion cushion, sprinkle it with a little salt. Distribute the remaining butter among the onion strips.

8. Place the fish on top.

9. Wrap the edges of the foil.

10. Make several holes in the foil. Place the dish in the oven on the middle rack, the temperature should be 190 degrees (without convection).
