Recipes for Main Dishes with Pork

Despite the fact that in some countries and religious denominations the consumption of pork is prohibited, pork is the most consumed type of meat. Various recipes for main dishes with pork exist in the collections of home cooks and restaurant chefs.

These stuffed pork rolls look elegant enough for a dinner party but cook up just as easily as a basic pan-fried cutlet. Thin slices of pork are pounded flat, seasoned and topped with a savory filling of sautéed mushrooms, onions and shredded cheese. Roll them up, secure with a toothpick and pan-fry until deeply golden, 5-7 minutes total. Add a splash of broth or water, cover and braise for another 15 minutes until the pork is cooked through and the cheese inside has melted into a stretchy, savory ribbon.
