Ingredients
- cherry – 1650 g;
- sugar – 6 tbsp (without heap).
Preparation
1. It is better to start with preparing the jars. Washed jars with soda can be conveniently steamed in a pan with water (when they are covered with steam, they can be used further). Metal lids should be boiled for 5 minutes.

2. Remove pits from the cherries with a special gadget or a regular hairpin.

3. Fill the cooled jars halfway with berries, slightly crush them, and add a spoonful of sugar.

4. Fill the jar almost to the top with fruits (during sterilization, the cherry with juice will rise a little and may spill out, so do not fill the jar to the very top), gently press down and sprinkle with a spoonful of sugar again.

5. Line the bottom of a pot suitable in volume with a cloth so that the jars do not rattle and shift during boiling. Place the preparations in it, and fill the pot with cold water so that the water is a couple of centimeters below the neck of the jar.

6. Cover the jars with metal lids without twisting them tightly. Turn on the stove and boil the preparations for 20 minutes.

7. Then carefully remove them from the pot and seal with a key or screw-on lids. A heat bath is not needed for such sealing – it will cool down right on the table, after which the jars can be stored in a cupboard, and they can be kept not only in the basement but also in the apartment.

For making a "Drunken Cherry" cake, for pies, layers, and pastry decorations – a recipe for cherry in its own juice without pits for winter will always come in handy.
