
Lazy dumplings with cherry
The delicious combination of dough (which mostly consists of cottage cheese) and juicy berry filling is embodied in lazy dumplings with cherry. Considering that no rolling out of dough and shaping is required for their preparation, the dish can be made even for breakfast, taking minimum time, and it will be the best start to the day. Ingredients
- cottage cheese of any fat content, but not 0% - 360 g;
- eggs - 2 pcs;
- flour (wheat) - 80 g + 30 g for dusting;
- white sugar - 30 g;
- salt - 1-2 g;
- fresh cherry for filling (if using frozen, thaw in the refrigerator beforehand) - 35-37 pcs.
Preparation
1. It is quite convenient to remove the pits from cherries with an ordinary hairpin - this way the berry gets the least damaged, but you can also use special tools. Prepare all the cherries this way.

2. Transfer the cottage cheese to a wide bowl for kneading and mash with a fork.

3. Add the remaining ingredients to it. Mash everything with the same fork.

4. Combine the lumpy mass into a single whole with your hand. If the cottage cheese is very fatty, you can add a little more flour, but do not overdo it with flour - it should remain quite sticky.

5. Pinch off 1/4 part from the dough, roll it into a sausage with an approximate diameter of 3 cm and cut into pieces of 3.5 cm.

6. Dip one end in flour and slightly flatten, leaving the sticky side without flour on top (this way the ball will be easy to shape). Place one cherry in the center.

7. Gather the edges of the patty upwards and pinch them together at one point.

8. Roll the ball between your palms.

9. Place the cottage cheese balls on a floured board. To help them hold their shape better, they can be frozen for 10 minutes.

10. Drop the lazy dumplings into boiling water. When they all float to the surface, cook for 1 minute.

11. Fish out the balls with a skimmer and place them on a plate.
