Ingredients

  • sea bass - 500 g (2 pcs.);
  • potato - 600 g;
  • onion - 60 g (1 pc.);
  • allspice (berries) - 6 pcs;
  • black pepper (ground) - to taste;
  • bay leaf - 2 pcs;
  • herbs - 1 bunch;
  • salt - to taste;
  • water 1.5 l.

Preparation

1. Prepare the products we will need.

2. Peel the potatoes, and rinse the peeled tubers under cool running water. After washing, cut them into small cubes. Peel the onion and finely chop it with a knife.

3. Pour a little water into a pot, about 1.5 l, add all the chopped potatoes and put it on to heat. Immediately season with salt to taste.

4. After the water with the potatoes comes to a boil, add the chopped onion. Cook the potatoes with the onion until they are semi-cooked, about 10 minutes.

5. In the meantime, let's deal with our fish. Since the sea bass has very sharp fins, the first thing to do is carefully cut off all the spines with kitchen scissors. Usually, sea bass is sold without the head and already gutted. We only need to remove the scales from the carcass and take off the dark membrane inside the belly of the fish. Thoroughly rinse the processed carcasses with cool water and cut them into small pieces.

6. Drop the pieces of sea bass into the pot with potatoes.

7. Next, add the bay leaves and pepper to the soup, and wait for the broth to boil. Skim off the foam from the top of the soup, reduce the heat, and cook the sea bass with potatoes for 8 minutes.

8. Add part of the herbs, while saving the other part for serving. Turn off the heat under the pot. Let the soup steep for a few minutes. The homemade sea bass soup is ready.
