Turkey thigh in the oven
Oven-baked turkey thigh is always delicious. It is especially nice to realize that the chosen meat is dietary. Although the turkey thigh can be baked by removing the quite hefty thigh bone, still, meat that is not sliced from the bone turns out to be juicier and denser after setting. To give the turkey thigh in the oven a special flavor, it is marinated with the addition of garlic and juniper berries. And the baking occurs very slowly at a relatively low temperature of 150 degrees.

Ingredients
- turkey thigh on the bone - 1100 g;
- sour cream of any fat content + thick mayonnaise - each 1 large spoon;
- prepared mustard - 1 tablespoon;
- garlic - 3-4 cloves;
- ripe juniper berries - up to 10 pcs;
- salt, pepper - 3-4 g each.

Preparation
1. If the meat was frozen, be sure to wait for it to thaw (on the bottom shelf of the refrigerator). Rinse and dry the thigh. Prepare the marinade by slicing the garlic into thin slices, and mix the sour cream, mayonnaise, and mustard, adding a little salt and pepper.

2. Coat the turkey with the prepared mixture on all sides. Sprinkle with garlic and juniper berries.

3. Cover the mold with foil, make several holes with a skewer for steam to escape and leave it like this to let the meat marinate. The maximum marinating time can be 6 hours.

4. At least an hour later, place the mold in the preheated oven at 150 degrees, without removing the foil.

5. Bake the turkey thigh in the oven for 1.5 hours, removing the foil 15 minutes before the end so that a more roasted crust is formed.

This fragrant large piece of turkey meat is placed on a plate. Cut into serving pieces and serve with potatoes, rice, or another side dish. The cooled turkey thigh baked in the oven can be used for sandwiches - it is also very tasty.
