
Bean Hummus
A delicious spread made from legumes for sandwiches, which will serve as a good snack or complement to hot dishes like meat and fish. Bean hummus originates from Asia and is a paste made from boiled beans with the addition of various ingredients. In our case, we will use walnuts and vegetables.
Preparation time: 8 hours.
Yield: 7 servings.

Ingredients:
- beans – 200 g;
- walnuts – 30 g;
- carrot – 1 pc;
- onion – 1 pc;
- salt – 1 g;
- black ground pepper – 1 g;
- vegetable oil – 1 tbsp.
Preparation
1. Prepare the ingredients for bean hummus.

2. You can use either white or red beans. Rinse the legumes and soak them in hot water overnight.

3. In the morning, change the water, place on the heat and boil for 40 minutes, adding salt. Drain the liquid, leaving some broth in the pot.

4. Peel the carrot and onion, grate the carrot, and chop the onion finely. Sauté the vegetables in oil until golden brown.

5. Place the beans in a blender bowl, pour in the reserved broth. The liquid is needed to achieve a paste-like consistency, allowing the appliance to work more effectively. Add the sautéed vegetables and blend.

6. Add spices to taste, the walnuts, and blend again.

7. Homemade bean hummus is ready.
