Everyone knows how to make this simple dish on the stove, but not everyone easily understands their kitchen gadgets and doesn't know how to boil potatoes in a slow cooker.

The question arises – why bother with modern technology when you can make the same thing the familiar way? The answer is simple – you don't have to monitor the slow cooker, wait for the water to boil, reduce the heat, and not forget to turn off the stove after cooking. In the alternative option, all the ingredients are loaded at the very beginning, the desired program is set, and you can do whatever you want until the signal sounds to indicate the end of work.

Ingredients

  • potatoes – 900 g;

2. The potatoes should first be washed and peeled, digging out the eyes and other indentations. Rinse the peeled tubers again.

3. Since the tubers are of different sizes, their boiling times will vary. Therefore, the sizes need to be brought to one, at least approximate, size. For this, cut large potatoes into 2-4 pieces.

6. Lower the lid of the device until it clicks, and set the program. Different brands have slight differences, but the principle is the same. You need to choose one of the cooking methods – "steaming", "porridge", "soup", "boiling", "pasta". Then set the cooking time – 35 minutes. This is the standard boiling time for medium-ripened and sized potatoes. If the potatoes are young, you can set the timer for 30 minutes.

7. Then the slow cooker will handle the task by itself. After the signal sounds that the work is done, carefully open the lid to avoid steam burns, and to be sure, poke the potato with a fork – it should go easily through the flesh – meaning everything is ready. All that's left is to remove the tubers with a plastic or wooden slotted spoon and serve them at the table.
