
How to dye eggs with hibiscus tea
It is customary to celebrate the bright holiday of Easter with lush kulich and dyed eggs. And, of course, you want to use natural dyes for this, which will not harm health, even if they seep through unnoticed cracks in the shell and slightly alter the color of the egg white. Beautiful shades, from pale purple to deep blue, can be obtained if you know how to dye eggs with hibiscus tea.

The number of eggs being dyed, as well as the amount of dried hibiscus petals, can be any – this will only affect the brightness of the color. It is better to use a container large enough so that the eggs occupy almost the entire volume. Then, the minimum amount of water will be needed, and the shade will be more saturated.
Time for preparation: 60 minutes.
Ingredients
- white eggs - 4 pcs;
- hibiscus tea - 80 g;
- vinegar 9% - 25 ml;
- water – 1 l.
Preparation
1. Prepare the listed ingredients. It is better to take the eggs out of the refrigerator 10 minutes before, so that they reach room temperature (this is one way to prevent the shell from cracking while boiling).

2. The surface of the eggs should be clean, so it should be washed with a sponge applying soda. Action should be taken carefully so as not to disrupt the integrity of the preparation.

3. Pour a layer of hibiscus at the bottom of a small pot. Place the eggs, then pour the remaining tea over them.

4. Pour in water to cover everything. Place the contents on the stove and, after boiling, reduce the heat to minimum. Boil the eggs for 10 minutes.

5. Then turn off the stove, and let the pot sit with the hot broth for another 10 minutes, after which carefully take out the first egg - it will be a pale lilac color.

6. Transfer it to a napkin. Literally after a couple of minutes, the egg will darken, and the purple color will become more pronounced. After another 10 minutes, take out the second egg - it will be the same purple as the first, but a little brighter. Meanwhile, the remaining 2 eggs are still in hot tea, soaking up its color.

7. Add vinegar to the tea broth, stir, and let the color steep for 20 minutes.

8. Now you can take out the remaining eggs – they have acquired a deep blue color, and the dye is uneven - it has speckles and streaks, resembling a cosmic pattern. To give the preparations a shine, wipe them with a cotton pad slightly moistened with vegetable oil.

Thus, knowing the technology of how to dye eggs with hibiscus tea, you can obtain various shades of blue-purple color without using artificial dyes. Such beauty can be stored in the refrigerator for a whole week.
