Homemade Hamburger
Making a hamburger at home is very simple. The main thing to do is to choose good ground beef (or make it yourself) and fry a delicious patty. This is half the flavor – the rest will be made by fresh crispy vegetables and a soft bun. You can add any vegetables. According to the classic recipe, there must be lettuce and tomato, but it seems to me that the more vegetables, the better, so I also add cucumber and red onion – it turns out very tasty, filling, and at the same time light.

Ingredients
- ground beef - 250 g;
- burger buns - 2 pcs;
- tomato - 1 pc;
- cucumber - 1 pc (fresh or pickled);
- onion - 1 pc;
- lettuce leaves - 2 pcs;
- cheese - 2-4 slices;
- mayonnaise - 1 tbsp;
- salt - 0.5 tsp;
- pepper - to taste;
- vegetable oil.
Preparation
1. Prepare all the necessary ingredients for making a hamburger at home.

2. First, make the patty for the hamburger. For this, take the ground beef, add salt and pepper. No eggs or bread are added to the hamburger patty, as is done in the preparation of regular patties. But to ensure that this patty holds its shape well, the meat must be kneaded and beaten well. This should be done for at least 3-5 minutes.

3. Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan. From the prepared meat, form two round patties about 1 cm thick and approximately 1.5-2 cm larger in diameter than the bun. Fry the patties on both sides over medium heat, occasionally pressing down on them with a spatula to keep them flat.

4. While the patties are frying, prepare the rest of the filling. Chop the onion into small cubes. You can also cut it into rings or half-rings, but it’s tastier when there are small pieces of onion in the finished hamburger rather than large ones, as this complements the flavor. If desired, the onion can be pre-marinated and then chopped..

5. Slice the cucumber into rounds. Also cut the tomato into rounds about 0.5 cm thick.

6. For making hamburgers at home, you can use ready-made buns or bake burger buns yourself. Cut the bun in half lengthwise. To make the hamburger even tastier, toast the buns on a grill pan or just in a dry frying pan.

7. Spread mayonnaise or a special sauce for hamburgers on the bottom half of the buns.

8. Place a lettuce leaf on top.

9. Then place the prepared patty.

10. Next, layer the rest - add a handful of onion, then the slices of tomato.

11. Cover everything with one or more slices of cheese, then add cucumber slices on top.

12. And cover everything with the top halves of the buns, which can also be spread with sauce.

13. If the hamburgers don’t hold their shape well, they can be secured with toothpicks, but mine stay together well. The homemade hamburger turned out very tasty, juicy, and aromatic - just perfect for a snack or to take with you on the road or for a walk. Be sure to make it too!
