Bread in the oven at home
What could be tastier than fresh homemade bread, especially if you baked it yourself? It turns out that baking homemade bread in the oven is not difficult at all. Below is a recipe for quick white bread, where you will spend only five or ten minutes of your time; the rest of the time the bread will spend without you. In the end, you get a fragrant loaf of bread with a crispy crust and dense crumb.

Ingredients
Minimum products:
- flour (highest grade) – 500 g;
- water – 375 ml;
- salt – 1.5 tsp;
- dry yeast – 1.5 tsp (or fresh - 15 g);
- vegetable oil for parchment.
Preparation
1. The flour should be sifted in advance and left on the table to warm up. We will also prepare salt and yeast. You can use both dry and fresh yeast.
2. We take warm water, but not hot. In the container with water, we add salt, and then the yeast, mixing to dissolve everything. This should be done quickly so that the salt does not react with the yeast.
3. We pour the liquid with yeast and salt into the bowl with flour. Using a spoon, we mix everything until homogeneous.
4. There is no need to knead the dough for a long time; just combine everything into a homogeneous mass.
5. We tightly cover the bowl with plastic wrap and place the container in a warm place without drafts. We forget about the dough for two hours. Count how much time you spent kneading the bread? I think three to five minutes.
6. After two hours, the dough has increased two and a half times, which is quite enough.
7. We proceed to shape the bread. The working surface should be dusted with flour, and the entire mass should be laid out. Simply stretch the dough into a rectangular shape with your hands. There is no need to use a rolling pin at all.
8. We need to fold the dough into an envelope. For this, with our right hand, we take the edge of the dough and gently pull it to the side; the dough is pliable and stretches well. We fold the stretched edge over the total mass.
9. Now, with our left hand, we stretch the edge of the dough and fold it over the total mass, as shown in the photo.
10. Also repeat down, towards yourself.
11. We also fold the upper edge. In the end, we got an envelope from the dough. If you plan to bake bread in a square shape, this shaping will be enough, just the sides of the dough need to be tucked under to make the loaf even.
12. We will bake the bread in a round shape, so the dough needs to be shaped into a ball. For this, we fold all the edges of the dough into a 'bag', like khinkali, and then we place the dough seam side down. In the end, we got such a ball or bun. During the shaping process, it is essential to dust the surface of the table with flour. Flour should also be sprinkled on hands and the dough itself to prevent sticking. The surface of the ball needs to be dusted with flour. The shaping of the loaf took us about five minutes as well.
13. We transfer the future bread onto parchment paper, on which we will bake it. Pre-grease the paper with vegetable oil. We cover the dough with a bowl and let it rest on the table for half an hour. During this time, we turn on the oven to preheat along with the baking pan. We set the temperature to 230°C.
14. After thirty minutes, pour three hundred milliliters of hot water into any metal form or bowl and place it in the oven on the lower level. We will bake the bread with steam.
15. Take the heated form out of the oven, preferably cast iron. Together with the parchment paper, transfer the dough into the hot form. With a sharp knife or a special blade, make random cuts on the bread.
16. We keep the oven at 230°C, baking the bread for forty-five to fifty minutes. During this time, the container with water should remain in the oven. We check readiness using a skewer.
17. Our bread is ready, we place it to rest on a rack, covering it with a cotton towel. We leave it like this for twenty to thirty minutes.
18. The fragrant homemade bread is ready. We spent a maximum of ten minutes preparing it, while the bread was rising and baking without us. In the end, we got incredibly delicious bread with a crispy crust.
I recommend making homemade bread using this simple recipe. Believe me, this will be the most precious baking for you.
