Preparation

1. Take cottage cheese that is not too wet, but rather dry. Pour it into a bowl and mash the curds. If you have time and desire, you can rub the cottage cheese through a sieve, but this is a labor-intensive task that will take some time. If you need to quickly prepare donuts, it is enough to mash the cottage cheese with an ordinary spoon. You won't be able to mash all the lumps with a spoon, but this won't spoil the taste of the donuts.

Since our balls need to float in oil while frying, it's better to take a small and deep dish. It's convenient to use a small cauldron for this purpose. It is perfect for this task. It will be convenient to stir our cottage cheese balls in it without risking splattering everything around with fat. Pour refined sunflower oil into it. Heat the oil well in the cauldron, as for frying pies.
