Chicken and Pineapple Salad

Layered salad with chicken and pineapples, walnuts will especially appeal to lovers of exotic southern fruits. The sweet and sour pineapples, accentuated by the nutty flavor, pair well with tender chicken. Ingredients

  • canned pineapples – 300 g;
  • boiled chicken thighs (or chicken fillet) – 300 g;
  • chicken eggs – 3 pcs;
  • cheese – 100 g;
  • walnuts – 70 g;
  • mayonnaise – 100 g.

Preparation

1. Lay out the products for preparing the chicken and pineapple salad on the table. Boil the eggs hard and peel them. Drain the liquid from the canned pineapples. It is better to use homemade mayonnaise.

2. Cut the chicken meat into small pieces.

3. Drain the liquid from the canned pineapples. Cut the pineapples into small pieces.

4. Pass the three boiled chicken eggs through a vegetable grater.

5. Grate the cheese on a fine grater.

6. Finely chop 70 grams of walnuts using the same grater.

7. Mix the chopped chicken meat with 2-3 tablespoons of mayonnaise.

8. Using a pastry ring (in our case, with a diameter of 16 centimeters), form the salad. The first layer is the chicken meat mixed with mayonnaise, evenly distributed in the ring.

9. The next layer is the chopped pineapples.

10. Add the grated chicken eggs on top of the pineapples and spread them with mayonnaise.

11. Next comes a layer of grated cheese, which is also spread with mayonnaise.

12. The final layer is the grated walnuts. Now the chicken and pineapple salad should ideally be kept in the refrigerator for a few hours to allow better soaking.
